Medical Receptionist

Job Description: Medical Receptionist Duties: • Greet and register patients upon arrival at the clinic • Answer phones and schedule appointments using the ER phone system • Verify patient and insurance information • Collect co-pays and process payments • Maintain patient medical records and update data as needed • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents • Coordinate referrals to other medical specialists • Ensure reception area is clean and orderly Requirements: • Knowledge of insurance verification, pre-approval, and office organization • Computer literacy with confidence using Microsoft Office • Medical background a plus, ophthalmology knowledge a plus • Attention to detail, ability to respond quickly and follow up • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Bilingual Russian Qualifications: • Experience as a medical receptionist or similar position a plus • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures a plus • Excellent communication skills and high level of customer service • Ability to work with telephone systems, including ER • Attentive, organized, and able to prioritize while multitasking • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) is desirable If you are an organized and sociable person interested in working with patients and providing quality medical care, we would be glad to see you on our team!
