An era passing away along with the stars that made the world brighter...
The magnificent composer Boris Tenin (Boris Tenenbaum), laureate of many international music competitions, awarded the prize of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for writing the Anthem of the Police of Ukraine, has passed away.
He was considered a famous Ukrainian songwriter who made a great contribution to the development of musical culture and popularized pop songs. In New York, he was awarded many certificates of honor from politicians. But Boris’s main reward was full halls, concerts that lasted for hours, and incessant applause. His music was performed in different countries by famous singers. Performers of his works are People's Artists of Ukraine - Joseph Kobzon, Vitaly Bilonozhko, Alexander Vasilenko, Nikolai Gnatyuk, Alla Kudlay, Liliya Sandulesa, Nadezhda Shestak, Viktor Shportko and other famous performers.
Boris Tenin wrote more than 400 songs, the children's opera "Friendly Guys", music for the puppet shows "True Friends" and "Mack the Goat". Simply and naturally, he replenished the treasury of pop art in the world.
"The Ballad of the Mother", the Hymn of Jerusalem, the Mother's Prayer, performed by Ada Yarmitskaya and other performers - unforgettable gems written by Boris Tenin in New York.
He began writing music at a young age, including for performances. Many people in New York and around the world will remember the amazing concerts for a long, long time, especially “For Victory Day,” where touching songs were performed to the music of Boris Tenin (Boris Tenenbaum). The topic of war was a mental trauma for him. His father died at the front, and his little sister died before his eyes. He lived his life preserving the memory of those killed during the war, praising the heroism of the soldier who stopped fascism. But the main thing in the work were songs about love.
His daughters Tanya and Regina graduated from music school, and he was happy when the whole family got together, listened with tears in his eyes to how wonderful his granddaughter Michelle sang, and his daughter Tanechka took part in concerts! Boris loved it very much when they went on holiday together with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren Anton, Igor, Anechka, and David very much. I missed my son Sasha, who lived in Israel.
Much will still be said and written about him. He did a lot of good for creative people - musicians, singers, poets. With his light hand, the stars began to light up.
Farewell, Boris, the stars you lit, your spectators and admirers of your talent applaud you...
