Automotive electrician-diagnostician is looking for permanent work
Seeking full-time employment as an auto electrician/diagnostician (Brooklyn / NYC / nearby NJ). Specializing in complex auto electrics and automotive electronics. Over 5 years of experience – independent work and work in auto repair shops. Specialization: complex electrical diagnostics (not "mistaken replacement"), CAN / LIN / K-Line troubleshooting, diagnostics and work with ECU / BCM / ABS / SRS, bench diagnostics of electronic modules, restoration of units after water damage, corrosion, overvoltage, lightning strikes, programming, coding, adaptation of modules (including used ones), ECU flashing at the customer's request and according to their technical specifications (parameters and cost are discussed separately), EVAP smoke tests, diagnostics of the reasons why the car fails an inspection, compression tests, troubleshooting and troubleshooting engine malfunctions. Brands: Europe / Japan / USA (BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, GM, Chrysler, Land Rover, etc.). Terms: Permanent, stable employment only, hourly or salary-based (❌ not flat-rate / not flag-hours). Rate from $50/hour and up (negotiable based on consistent workload). Service is in-house, no street work. On-site service is available only for an additional fee (starting at $100/hour, including travel). I don't offer "get your BMW started for $200." I'm interested in service centers that need a real diagnostician, not a routine mechanic.
