We are seeking an experienced caring and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to join our team in Staten Island. The ideal candidate will support in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, maintaining a clean and organized space, and ensuring the well-being of children under our care. Assist in supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, crafts, and educational lessons. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for children. Monitor children's behavior and assist in guiding them in a positive and supportive manner. Assist with mealtimes, snack preparation, and feeding as needed. Help with diapering, potty training, and personal hygiene routines. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to foster a positive learning environment. Follow all safety and health regulations, including emergency procedures and sanitation guidelines. Provide comfort and support to children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities, classrooms, and play areas. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education is a plus. We have 5 children in our family: 11 years old, 5 years old, 7 years old, 4 years old (kindergarten and school), and 10 months at home. We need to look after the youngest, who is 10 months old.
