Dear veterans!

Dear veterans! On behalf of the Board of the American Association of Disabled and Veterans of World War II, we sincerely congratulate you on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory!
Dear soldiers of the fronts, prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos, partisans, blockade survivors, home front workers, allies in arms, all who have kept in their hearts the memory of millions of relatives and friends who gave their lives to save humanity from fascism - this day belongs to you!
There are very few of us left, those who defended freedom with weapons in our hands. Fate allowed us to live to see this significant date - the 80th anniversary of the Victory. And today, remembering our comrades in arms and loved ones, we realize at what an unimaginable price freedom and peace were won, and the road to victory was soaked in blood and sweat.
Our greatest dream is that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren never know the horrors of war, so that they do not have to defend their right to life and freedom with weapons in their hands. But, alas, even in our time there are still forces that disregard the value of human life. We believe that humanity must stop this madness!
And we, veterans, are already more than a hundred years old and although there are few of us, we still remain in the ranks, remaining faithful to our memory and our duty.
We will always remember the price at which this Victory was won. The memory of our dear and beloved ones who did not live to see the bright day of May 9 will forever remain in our hearts.
Our generation saved the world from enslavement and destruction by fascism.
Thank you for life, for courage, for heroism and fearlessness!
Live long, share your wisdom, teach the youth to be honest, brave and fair. Help them keep the peace so that the world will never again be on the brink of destruction. After all, there can be no winners in a nuclear war.
Bright skies, good days, happiness and health to you and your descendants!
Sincerely, President of the American Association of Disabled Veterans of World War II Leonid Borisovich Rosenberg (born September 3, 1921), board members Anna Malkina, Fira Stukelman
