Dentistry of the future is already today

We meet Margarita Degtyareva at her clinic Always Beautiful Smile. In the 20 years of our acquaintance, I have never seen her in a bad mood. Smiling and welcoming as always, she invites me into her modest office. Realizing how busy her work schedule is, I immediately begin the interview.
— In recent years, the concept of dentistry has expanded significantly. What is the reason for this?
Margarita: That's true. The dental industry has undergone significant changes. And this is primarily due to scientific discoveries and developments in the field of deontology. I'm not just talking about new equipment and materials that improve the quality of service and significantly reduce the time a patient spends in our clinic. I'm talking about the latest developments that are designed to improve health, appearance and quality of life in general.
— As far as I know, in addition to direct dental services, you treat sleep-disordered breathing and problems associated with snoring.
Margarita: Helping patients improve their sleep can significantly improve their health, not to mention the positive impact on the well-being of families with similar problems. 67% of Americans suffer from sleep disorders. This includes snoring and respiratory arrest. The problem is very serious, sometimes leading to death. Until recently, patients were offered devices such as CPAP. In principle, they partially solved the problem, but remained very uncomfortable, and besides, not everyone to whom they were recommended agreed to use them.
- But that was the only way?
Margarita: Absolutely right! Until recently! And I am very happy that today we can offer our patients a new, non-invasive, laser treatment method using our new device.
— Margarita Degtyareva's hyperboloid?
Margarita: (laughs) Yes, in terms of innovation — a hyperboloid! But seriously, the LightWalker laser by Fotona is simply unique! It can be used in 3 directions. 1st — NightLase. It helps in the cases we talked about. It uses a laser that initiates the formation of new, more elastic collagen by acting on the oropharynx, soft palate and uvula. This method is indicated in cases where the patient is diagnosed with chronic snoring or multiple apnea during sleep. The risk of using a laser is minimal, much less than with alternative methods!
— How many patients have you managed to relieve from similar problems?
Margarita: Yes, quite a lot. And the main thing is that the results are very good! I would like as many people as possible to learn about this opportunity and help themselves and their loved ones.
- You said that the LightWalker laser works in 3 directions. What are the other 2?
Margarita: These are SmoothLase and LipLase. SmoothLase is a laser therapy that is used in the oral cavity for facial care and what we all want - rejuvenation. In this method, we use a patented high-tech tip that allows for virtually painless therapy. During the course of treatment, nasolabial folds, perioral vertical lip lines and the so-called "disappearing" lips observed in mature adults are smoothed out. Also, during these procedures, a sagging chin is tightened. We see results almost immediately!
— What about LipLase?
Margarita: This is an additional natural therapy aimed, as the name suggests, at the lips, at their rejuvenation and giving them a beautiful shape. LipLase is used as an independent therapy, as well as in combination with SmoothLase therapy. The same LightWalker laser tip is used here. Everything is as non-invasive and natural as possible! No side effects, and most importantly, the distortion of the lip shape that we see in those who use injections, which are often of poor quality. After the SmoothLase procedure, the lips look natural, young and fresh!
— How is the course of treatment prescribed?
Margarita: Depending on age and skin condition, in accordance with the protocol, the course lasts from 3 to 6 sessions. Of course, we consider each patient individually. But, regardless of gender and age, we can make everyone who comes to us younger and healthier!
The interview is over. I leave the Always Beautiful Smile clinic in high spirits. After all, we are entering the future, where there are wonderful machines and the golden hands of professionals...
