Job Responsibilities: Assembly and Testing: Assemble wire harnesses according to technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Test wiring continuity using a continuity tester. Component Preparation: Select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on harness board. Quality Control: Inspect and verify own work using visual aids, checklists, and inspection tools. Identify and escalate discrepancies or design issues. Documentation: Mark identifying data on completed harness and contribute to updates of work instructions and BOMs. Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work environment and comply with all safety protocols and use of PPE. Requirements Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in wire harness assembly, depending on the level of seniority. Technical Skills: Proficient in soldering, crimping, and stripping wires, with a solid understanding of wire harness mechanical assembly. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a physically demanding environment. Communication Skills: Able to comprehend and follow moderately complex written and verbal instructions. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Relevant certifications in the electrical or electronic industry. Salary Range The salary range for a wire harness assembler can vary fr om $18 to $25 per hour.
