Merchants (business owners) who accepted Visa and/or Mastercard between January 1, 2004 and January 25, 2019 are eligible to claim their share of the $5.5 billion settlement.
It is alleged that Visa and Mastercard, and their issuing banks (“Defendants”), violated the law by improperly inflating interchange fees. The defendants deny the wrongfulness of their actions. They claim that their business practices are legal.
After years of appeals, the settlement has become final and claim forms are now being accepted. If you do not file a claim, you will not receive a settlement payment. Claim forms are currently being sent to more than 15 million merchants. Even if you do not receive a claim form in the mail, you may still be eligible for a settlement and should visit www.PaymentCardSettlement.com for more information about the settlement.
