New York City Housing Crisis

New York City Housing Crisis
A month ago I was in Boston and couldn't believe my eyes: ordinary one-bedroom apartments cost 4-5 thousand dollars a month in the area of Public Health University, next to the shelter and the hospital. They are rented by students, often several people together. Many take out loans for study, work part-time to get an American education. After all, not everyone has parents, grandparents, who are ready to help their grandchildren.
So when someone criticizes New York, I advise: first go to Boston. A little later I will publish my report and photos - you will see in the area, near the University of Public Health and the shelter, syringes, needles, and tourniquets right on the streets, and people in a state of drug intoxication. Someone will say: "This is done for the people." And it is true, in the early 2000s, when people died from AIDS, and there was no effective treatment, disposable syringes were distributed so that people would not use common ones. But times have changed: AIDS is treated, but syringes are still distributed, marijuana has been legalized.
Someone claimed marijuana was a blessing. We'll see where that leads.
But there is one thing that hardly anyone will argue about: housing, a roof over your head is a basic human need. And for New Yorkers it is always no less important than in other cities. Today, many students can no longer afford to live separately from their parents.
Interesting insights about housing in New York City by attorney Edward Mermelstein, who was appointed Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of International Affairs by the Mayor of New York City in January 2022. He is a respected attorney. He is a financial investment consultant, a media expert for developers. Mermelstein has appeared on various television channels such as CNBC Fox Business Network and Reuters, discussing foreign investment in the U.S. market. He has been quoted in articles published in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Reuters and the New York Observer on topics covering the stabilization of prices in the New York luxury real estate market and the state of foreign direct investment in the U.S. market. He has also been published as a guest columnist for Forbes magazine.
So... "The press is at it again - only in New York can record housing growth be portrayed as something negative.
The mayor of New York has accomplished more in housing reform and construction in 44 months than most administrations have accomplished in decades. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of families already housed, about the redevelopment and construction of new houses that are paving the way for hundreds of thousands of future apartments. But journalists seem to expect miracles. If houses are not built overnight, everything is declared "wishful thinking." The fact remains: New York is on track to build half a million new houses. Adams launched a rocket. And while critics are discussing the color of its paint, the rocket has already reached orbit. For example, many remember how 25 years ago, when they offered people subsidized apartments for $ 200 a month in the Surf Ave area of Brooklyn on West 20-30 before reaching Sea Gates, people did not want to live in this area, there was high crime, and now people dream of renting apartments here, they play the lottery. Recently there was a lottery for Program 8, which was frozen for a long time.
It's funny: the same publications that have been writing about the "housing crisis" for years are now mocking the first mayor in decades who has actually begun to solve it.

The name of this force is Varya the Molfarka. She brought back not only my husband, but my soul. Her number is +380632574828 (Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram)

I wrote this through tears. When my husband left, it was as if my soul had been ripped out. The house was empty, the children were silent, and I lived on autopilot. No words, no prayers helped. And then I found Molfar Varya. She didn't ask unnecessary questions, just looked into my eyes and said, "He'll come back. But I need to cleanse my heart of pain." I didn't believe it. But two weeks later, he stood on the doorstep. With flowers. With tears. With an admission that he "didn't understand how he could leave like that." Since then, I know: there is a power beyond logic. And the name of this power is Molfar Varya. She brought back not only my husband, she gave me back my soul. HER number is +380632574828 (Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram)

Feedback about a clairvoyant who really helps!

I want to leave a review about a clairvoyant who truly knows her craft. I consulted her about personal issues—my relationship with my husband was on the verge of divorce. She immediately sensed the negativity surrounding us. She laid everything out clearly, eliminated the negativity, and gave me advice on what to do. After two weeks, our relationship really improved! She's a very sensitive and compassionate person. She works with Tarot cards and sees everything as it really is. Here's her number: +16463779379

I am grateful to her with all my heart.

I never thought that I would find myself in a situation where I would need someone's advice on my personal life. I always thought that I could handle it myself. But at some point, it was as if a wall had grown between me and my wife. We didn't understand each other, and quarrels became daily. There was coldness in the house, and emptiness in my soul. Turning to Lilya was, frankly speaking, a spontaneous decision. But, as it turned out, the best one. With her, I began to see things that I had simply not noticed before. I began to hear my wife differently. And most importantly, I began to change myself. Lilya didn't push or impose, but gently and accurately guided me. Today, we have "us" again. And for this, I am grateful to her with all my heart. Her contacts (+380638055486 - WhatsApp Viaiber; +19297133433 - regular communication)

He just disappeared after the first night..

I knew he was special. We met at a friend's birthday party, and something sparked between us at first sight. We spent an amazing evening together. And then the night. He was attentive, gentle, real. And in the morning... he just left. Said he'd call. He didn't call. Stopped answering. Disappeared from social media. I cried. Laughed at myself. And then cried again. All my friends kept saying, "Forget it. It was a moment." But I knew it wasn't just like that. It couldn't be a mistake. I wrote to Lilia. Not really believing it. And she said, "Your destinies are tied. But he was tied by another. We'll free him." I did everything: prayers, rituals, and even stopped drinking coffee, as she said. Six days later, he wrote, "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened to me. I was thinking about you all this time." Now we're together. He carries me in his arms. He says he felt like someone was holding him on a chain. Lily, I believe that you are a messenger from above. You brought back my love. You gave me a chance for happiness.
