The Conversation That Changed Coney Island On July 19th, America celebrated a national holiday—Juneteenth, Emancipation Day. Many of us grew up abroad and didn't celebrate this day, but living in the United States, we learn to understand and respect the history of the country that became our home. Juneteenth commemorates the events of 1865, when the last group of enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This holiday reminds us all of the values of freedom, human dignity, and equality. I respect the people for whom Juneteenth is a special day—a day of remembrance, freedom, and hope. There was a celebratory event in Neptune Avenue Park attended by politicians, and I decided to go there, and not just for photos. People voted for these politicians, trusted them with their votes, elected them, and reelected them. So I wanted to talk to them about the issues that concern the residents of our neighborhood. First of all, I reminded everyone about the need for boardwalk repairs. Many people are aware of our problem, and residents are still waiting for repairs. So, let's return to the holiday, when everyone, regardless of where they were born, gets a day off from work. Community director Brigitte Purvis-Williams and Assemblyman Alek Brook-Krasny did a tremendous job making the holiday festive and memorable. The event was attended by U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, New York State Assemblyman Alek Brook-Krasny, State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, Brooklyn District Attorney Alex Gurevich, staff from the Brooklyn President's Office, and other government officials. The work of the staff in these offices is worthy of recognition. For example, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries' team genuinely helps people and often acts as pro bono attorneys, helping navigate difficult situations. Jeffries himself regularly meets with residents, regardless of the weather, personally listening to their concerns, and translators are always on hand. District Attorney Eric Gonzalez's office also conducts significant outreach efforts. His assistant, Alex Gurevich, organized meetings in Brighton Beach on the issues of food benefit theft and computer fraud. City Councilwoman Kayla Santosusso has a wonderful staff member, Ben Fikhman, who speaks Russian and genuinely helps people solve their problems. Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton's office also provides significant assistance to residents; many know Mia and are grateful for her help. Not all of my readers know that the oceanfront neighborhood was once far from as prestigious as it is today. More than twenty years ago, many people didn't want to live here. The African-American community didn't always understand the Russian-speaking immigrants who came to the area. They spoke little English, but they were educated, eager to work, and preserved their culture and traditions. It was Alec Brook-Krasny who pioneered the bridge between the two communities. More than twenty years ago, he organized meetings and events at the Fanorama community center he founded. It was an important and truly innovative initiative. It was then that a genuine dialogue between people of different cultures, nationalities, and life experiences began to emerge on Coney Island. Brook-Krasny also succeeded in increasing the number of Russian-speaking police officers in the area. For many immigrants, this became a significant factor in their safety and trust in law enforcement. Alec Brook-Krasny also made a significant contribution to the development of the African-American community. One striking example was the meeting of Coney Island teenagers with Ndaba Mandela, the grandson of the legendary Nelson Mandela. Despite his international fame and busy schedule, he came at Brook-Krasny's invitation and met with the youth of the area. For many of the teenagers, this meeting was a true highlight. The opportunity to hear from a man associated with Nelson Mandela was inspiring and left a deep impression. The hall was packed, and the speech generated great interest and admiration among the audience. The history of Coney Island is the story of people who managed to find common ground despite differences in language, culture, and life experiences. It is a story of mutual respect and cooperation. And among those who helped build this dialogue, the name of Alec Brook-Krasny holds a special place. In conclusion, I would like to acknowledge the charitable organization TraNa Relief and its tireless director, Natalia Travilina. The organization helps Ukrainian refugees. When I asked for help for seriously ill elderly residents of our area, help was provided to both refugees and elderly Americans. I also met the staff at the Golden Fleece senior center, where people have a wonderful time: dancing, singing, holding competitions, and fashion shows. Children from the art school were showing off their work, and I couldn't resist. There was a football tournament, and the ballerinas were dancing beautifully. Today, I especially want to thank everyone who hears the pain of others and offers a helping hand. Thank you to the politicians who work for the people, and to their staff, who do enormous, often unnoticed, but crucial work. It's precisely through such actions that public trust is built. It's precisely through dialogue. And it was precisely this dialogue that once helped change Coney Island. Marina Lagunova

I'll be honest: I've already consulted several fortune tellers, but to no avail. Only this woman told me everything as it is. Her predictions for the dates were spot on, and she predicted important changes at work—everything came true! She was very warm, attentive, and didn't mince words. +1 646 377 9379.

Professional fortune telling and situational diagnosis
There are situations when simple conversations and advice don't help. Relationships are falling apart, a loved one leaves, money isn't holding up, and there's a constant sense of anxiety and a feeling that everything is going wrong. In such moments, it's important to understand the cause, not just endure. My name is Victoria, a clairvoyant and tarot reader. I help people, both in person and remotely, navigate life's challenges, remove negative influences, and change the situation for the better. I work calmly, without pressure or unnecessary promises. I examine the situation deeply—through fortune-telling and diagnostics—and explain in simple terms what's happening and the best course of action. How I help in practice: - When relationships are falling apart: If a loved one has left, grown cold, or there are constant arguments or outside interference, I help you understand the cause, remove the negative influence, and restore warmth, trust, and feelings. - When life hits a rough patch: If everything seems to be falling apart, you're unlucky, your money isn't holding up, your plans are falling apart, I look for what's blocking your path and help remove the energetic barriers. - When you feel someone else's influence: I work with the evil eye, envy, curses, and heavy energy that has been lingering for years. I cleanse and protect you so the situation doesn't recur. - When you need an honest answer: Through fortune-telling, I reveal what's really going on, what events lie ahead, whether you should wait for a person, change jobs, or make an important decision. - When you're lacking strength and energy: I help with constant fatigue, anxiety, apathy, inner emptiness, when you "don't want anything" and have no inner support. - When your personal destiny isn't working out: I work with loneliness, repeated failures in love, fear of relationships, and help open the way to family happiness. - When protection is needed: I help you close yourself off from envious people, ill-wishers, gossip, and other people's negative interference. Every person and every situation is unique. I tailor the work to your specific needs and never do anything unnecessary. If you feel stuck, write or call, and we'll find a way out together. I want to express my gratitude to Rufina. I contacted her for a fortune-telling. I'd previously seen two fortune tellers, and they'd both offered nonsense, general statements. Rufina, on WhatsApp (+380686790785), named specific events that would occur within a month. I was skeptical at the time, but when everything started coming true, I was amazed! She predicted a meeting with someone who would change my life. And so it happened. She's a very powerful clairvoyant, I recommend her to everyone!
