The Martial Arts World Cup has concluded in Virginia,
Christian Shovkalyuk, a representative from New York's Oshana club, competed in the 6-8 age category. He was the youngest participant in the tournament.
Under the guidance of his father and coach Oleksandr Shovkalyuk, honored coach Gocha Pasiashvili and manager Brian Jobity, Christian had three outstanding fights, in which he won.
The judges and experts especially noted the fight for the bronze medal , which Christian confidently won.
His head kick was voted the best kick of the competition.
The young athlete was personally awarded by the Federation President John Chang.
Christian is already preparing for the next competitions - the American Championship and international tournaments.
For the next championship he received a personal invitation from the president of the Martial Arts Federation.
Following the tournament, a gala banquet was held in honor of the winners and in honor of the 250th anniversary of American independence, to which legends of world sport were invited.
The Federation President particularly noted the contributions of Oleksandr Shovkalyuk and Gocha Pasiashvili, emphasizing that friendship and close cooperation in sport always lead to high results.
