"The sword of Damocles hangs over the entire planet. The land of despair is in the blood of terror. Fire and death did not bypass Manhattan, black September cannot be forgotten. In the eyes there is a picture of hell, people burning alive, in the fire of criminal jihad, under the jubilation of their leaders. We all mourn, and the pain of loss is even stronger in our days. For us, the living, those victims are sacred, they are like eternal flames. Oh, how many thousands of those who loved life, disappeared in this darkness! Keep in memory of the dead, in the name of life on earth!" wrote Yakov Friedman, a prisoner of the Bershad ghetto, the author and architect of the Menorah installed in Brighton. And in 23 years, little has changed for the relatives of the victims. To honor the memory of loved ones, the September 11 Family Group annually organizes a Remembrance Ceremony in Brooklyn's Asser Levy Park. The names of the victims of the September 11 tragedy are on the memorial screen. Candles were lit, flowers were laid. I always want to say: "We remember you, brothers and sisters." For many years, I have spent this day with my friends, members of the organization "Families of 9-11". Over the years, we have known each other by sight and shared common memories. It is especially heartwarming to see children born into these families, who carry within them the intelligence, strength and resilience of those we lost on that tragic day. I have known the Savinkin family for many years, I understand how strong, wise and kind Valya is, who survived an irreparable loss, having lost her son Vladik and husband Valery. Her courage serves as an example for all of us. I also have vivid memories of Lyudmila Ksido's husband, but he is no longer with us. He told me with tears in his eyes how he gave Lyudochka's comb for DNA identification... That moment is etched in my memory forever. He looked after the memorial in the park in Brooklyn... I remember how touchingly Marina Hertsberg's friend Roman Tsukerman recalled her, telling me how extraordinary she was. My daughter and I were among the first visitors to the 9-11 museum, and our tour guide was Valery Savinkin, may he rest in peace. He was an extraordinary man, and a street on the corner of Coney Island and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn is named after him. Today, Family 9-11 is headed by Roman Hertzberg, the father of Marina, whose beauty is still admired by everyone today. I recently found myself back in Manhattan, at the site where nearly 3,000 people died in a matter of minutes. Many continue to suffer and die from illnesses caused by 9-11. So, let's get back to the memorial meeting. The speech of Jonathan and Dina Lider left no one indifferent. Ross Tisnovsky, brother of Elena Belilovskaya, hosted the ceremony touchingly! The string quartet Ideal Ensembles took part in the funeral ceremony. Many were choked with tears and the music cried... Politicians spoke. Representatives of the police were present, many of whom died on that terrible day and after. We can list for a long time the caring people who came to express condolences and be close to those who know firsthand what September 11 is. Thank you all! One of the goals of the September 11 Family group is not only to remember loved ones, but also to pass on the memory to the next generation. If it weren't for Lilia, I simply wouldn't have survived...
I couldn't bring myself to write for a long time, but remembering how I was looking for at least one hope, I decided to share it anyway. My name is Tatyana. I was married for 8 years. Love since college. We've been through it all: poverty, rented apartments, loans, miscarriages, tears. But we held on. Together. Always. Until he started staying late at work. Then - cold in his eyes. Silence. Then he said: "I don't love you. It's all over." It seemed to me that I was going crazy. I was going from one extreme to another. I was looking for someone to blame in myself. I couldn't breathe, eat, live. I felt that he still loved me, something just happened. But he was like a stranger. A friend of mine recommended Liliya to me, who had also gone through the same thing. I wrote to her with trembling hands. She answered right away. "He didn't leave. He's lost. But if you're ready to go all the way, I'll help." We had several sessions. She did a cleansing. I read spells, burned candles. I cried, falling asleep with a prayer in my heart. And one morning he just... arrived. Without words. Without explanations. Knelt down. Hugged. "Forgive me. Forgive me. It was as if something was holding me. I was not myself. I want to come back. If you are still waiting..." I waited. And waited. Now he is more caring than ever. Flowers, kind words, he even started talking about a second child. Lily - you are an angel. Not just a woman, not just a clairvoyant. You are like a mother who carefully pulled me out of a hole. If you are suffering now and do not know where to go - go to Lily. She will not let you drown. The grand opening of the election headquarters The grand opening of the campaign headquarters of New York City Council candidate George Sarantopoulos, a Republican, recently took place. He won a landslide victory over Richie Barsamian, president ofthe Brooklyn Republican Party, in the recent primary election, and this fact alone speaks volumes about the trust of voters. Every vote counts.
