I'm always genuinely happy when our talented compatriots achieve success. It's especially rewarding to talk about those who came to America as children and later became recognized professionals—professors, producers, creators of vibrant projects. Today, we'll be discussing the inspiring and truly ambitious endeavor of a remarkable young couple, Anna Geller and Mikhail Koplan.
The opening of a new, vibrant, and truly captivating establishment on legendary Coney Island is certainly a noteworthy event. Now, it's possible to spend time here in an interesting and exciting way year-round.
The Coney Escape Room, an interactive center offering engaging puzzle-solving escape rooms and immersive gameplay scenarios, held its grand opening on March 21 at 1205 Surf Ave., 2nd floor. Its mission is to breathe life into Coney Island not only during the peak beach season but also during the quieter months.
The center's director, Professor Anna Geller, is an energetic, caring, and well-known figure in New York City. For many years, she has helped people find jobs and prepared Kingsborough Community College students for successful college education.

For those unfamiliar with the Escape Room concept, let me explain. Imagine you're a character in a story. Over the course of 60 minutes, you'll have to solve mysteries using your wits and teamwork to find clues and clues.
Guests will enjoy three uniquely themed rooms, each immersing them in a unique world:
- a haunted morgue full of disturbing hints and mysteries;
- a spy story that begins with a mysterious discovery on the embankment and leads to an international conspiracy;
- a sea adventure exploring the remains of a ship in search of long-lost pirate treasure.
In addition to escape rooms, Coney Escape Room invites you and your friends to participate in a live interactive game show. Themed intellectual games, team competitions, and a sea of positive emotions await you in the company of a wonderful host.

The project was brought to life with the participation of co-founder Mikhail Koplan, a talented animator and designer who has collaborated with leading studios such as Blue Sky Studios, Disney, and Skydance. His filmography includes popular animated films such as Ice Age, Rio, Ferdinand, and The Snoopy Movie.
The project's creators have already received official recognition for their efforts: Anna Geller and Mikhail Koplan were awarded the Assembly's Certificate of Honor, presented by Assembly Member Alec Brooke-Krasny, and a certificate from Senator Jessica Scarcelo-Spanton.
