The sad news resonated with pain in the hearts of his colleagues and comrades, everyone who knew, loved and respected him. We have lost a good friend and a talented person who successfully worked in jewelry production and created interesting paintings, participated in all general exhibitions and presented his paintings at personal vernissages. The main merit of Arnold Halfin is that he was a great professional athlete. He participated in many barbell competitions and was the absolute champion of Belarus, champion and member of the USSR Olympic team. He was a multiple gold and silver medalist in world and Pan-American competitions. He has more than 200 medals of various denominations and countless winning cups. In 1999, his name was inducted into the Veterans Sports Hall of Fame in Washington. All his life, Arnold trained young weightlifters and passed on his sports experience to them. He invented and put into practice a training simulator, which grateful weightlifters called the Halfin Ladder. He wrote and published the book “Everything in the Heart, Everything in the Memory” in 2016, becoming a laureate of the World Cup competition and receiving a Diploma from the Writers' Union of North America.
A creative person, a true workaholic, a courageous and sympathetic friend, Arnold Halfin will remain in our memory forever!
