Alexander wrote on a variety of topics, but his work on crime brought him fame. No one was as involved in covering Russian-language crime in the United States as he was. Working in this field was interesting, exciting, but also dangerous. However, Grant was a courageous man, and danger didn't stop him.
Sasha was a true journalist, a journalist with a capital J. A true journalist never backs down or gives in to difficulties, even at the cost of personal safety. Grant was a professional who loved his profession and wouldn't trade it for any other.
