Changes to the Community Development (CD) Block Grant Program
The Community Development Block Grant (CD or CDBG) program is one of four formula grants that New York City receives annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Before receiving these funds, the city must publish a plan for public comment that describes how it will use the grant.
Pursuant to HUD Consolidated Plan Regulations section 91.105(c), the City provides public notice of proposed programs and budget appropriations for 2024 (Community Development Consolidated Plan/Fiftieth Program Year (CD 50)). Programs and budgetary allocations are defined in the City's Proposed Community Development Program for Fiscal Year 2025. This document contains the proposed FY 2025 budget for the CDBG program, the proposed revised budget for CDBG 50 (which will be included in the CY 2024 Omnibus Plan), and the proposed budget for CD 51/CY 2025. This document is not related to funding under the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program.
Beginning Thursday, April 25, 2024, the City's Proposed Community Development Plan for Fiscal Year 2025 will be available for download on the Mayor's Office of Operations website at www1.nyc.gov/site/operations/projects/consolidated-plan.page . Please send any comments on the proposed changes to [email protected] by May 28, 2024.
