TO RECEIVE NYCHA PROGRAM 8
New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to reopen its waiting list
to participate in the housing choice voucher program (under Program 8)
from 00:00 Monday, June 3, 2024 to 23:59 Sunday, June 9, 2024
To apply, visit: on.nyc.gov/section8-application or scan the QR code
using your smartphone's camera.
NYCHA will accept online applications for its Housing Choice Voucher Program (also known as Section 8) at: on.nyc.gov/section8-application
00:00 Monday, June 3, 2024, until 23:59 Sunday,
June 9, 2024 Please do not submit more than one application (duplicate applications will be rejected).
Once the application period closes, NYCHA will randomly place 200,000 applications on the waiting list. This means that all applicants have an equal opportunity to be placed on the waiting list, regardless of when their application was received.

The waiting list is expected to be complete by August 1, 2024. Once the waiting list is complete, applicants will be notified and will be able to check the status of their application through the NYCHA Self-Service Portal
(selfserve.nycha.info).
Acceptable accommodation for serving

The online application can be accessed from a computer, smartphone or tablet with an Internet connection. If you don't have internet access, you can visit your local library. Paper applications will be provided as a reasonable accommodation only. You can request a reasonable accommodation from Monday, June 3, 2024 to Friday, June 7, 2024 (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) by calling
