WHAT: 23RD ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY
WHERE: ASSER LEVY PARK IN BROOKLYN (SURF AVENUE and WEST 5TH STREET)

The September 11 Family Group, a charity that brings together families of victims of the September 11 tragedy, holds an annual Remembrance Ceremony at the memorial plaza.
September 11th in Brooklyn's Asser Levy Park.
This year's Remembrance Ceremony will be dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 tragedy.
The Asser Levy Park Memorial will be open to visitors starting at 12 noon. A large screen will be installed in the Memorial Plaza. It will display the names of all 2,983 victims of the September 11 tragedy.
The official ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. and will include the Trooping of the Colors, the National Anthem, the Lighting of Candles, a Moment of Silence, a Wreath-Laying Ceremony, Classical Music Interludes, and speeches by religious leaders, 9/11 Family members, and the Memorial's major sponsors. Hundreds of event participants are expected to attend.
Parking will be provided for the press. Please contact the Ceremony organizers if you would like to obtain a special Parking Permit.
