September 11th in Brooklyn's Asser Levy Park. This year's Remembrance Ceremony will be dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 tragedy. The Asser Levy Park Memorial will be open to visitors starting at 12 noon. A large screen will be installed in the Memorial Plaza. It will display the names of all 2,983 victims of the September 11 tragedy. The official ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. and will include the Trooping of the Colors, the National Anthem, the Lighting of Candles, a Moment of Silence, a Wreath-Laying Ceremony, Classical Music Interludes, and speeches by religious leaders, 9/11 Family members, and the Memorial's major sponsors.
