Antonov Stone Work Corp., a family-owned stone countertop shop in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is seeking an experienced Stone Fabricator/Polisher. Full-time, W-2 position. We have been in business for over 30 years. We have large, ongoing contracts with construction companies, as well as exclusive, high-end custom projects. We work with full-size slabs of quartz, marble, granite, quartzite, and semi-precious stones. The work primarily involves hand finishing: edging, polishing, and repairing large, expensive pieces. We are looking for a meticulous craftsman who takes pride in a perfect finish. Responsibilities - Polishing and finishing edge profiles (straight, bevel, bullnose, ogee, 45°/waterfall) by hand and on edge polishing machines - Polishing sink cutouts, faucet holes and cooktop cutouts - Preparing products for joining: leveling, adjusting edges for smooth, clean seams - Repairing chips, filling cracks, leveling polished and matte surfaces, especially on marble and quartzite - Inspecting finished products before dispatch from the workshop - Safely moving slabs and finished products in a team (A-frames, clamps, crane/forklift) - Maintaining safety and dust suppression regulations (wet polishing, PPE) Requirements - 2+ years of experience finishing and polishing stone countertops in a workshop - Actual experience working with marble, quartzite and semi-precious slabs - Attention to detail, Steady hand, accurate measurements - Ability to lift and move heavy material as part of a team, and be on your feet all day - Dependable and punctual Pay - based on experience - Weekly pay - Year-round stability How to apply: Email [email protected] 116 49th Street, Brooklyn, NY Landline (calls only, no text messages): 718-768-2244 Please send your resume and responses to: [email protected] In your email, please include the following: - Do you have a valid driver's license? We work with full-size slabs of quartz, marble, granite, quartzite, and semiprecious stone. This job is mostly hand finishing: edges, polishing, and repairs on large, high-value pieces. We need someone careful who takes pride in a perfect finish.
