THE PERFORMANCE "BENCH"
The Bench is a play written by playwright Alexander Gelman. The events take place in a city park during one summer evening. The main character, a forty-five-year-old man, under the influence, begins to communicate with different women sitting on benches. At first glance, the simple plot develops into a deep human story.
One of the most famous premieres of the 1980s. The play was banned for a long time, but T. Doronina managed to get it staged. The stage duet of T. Doronina and O. Tabakov made a huge impression on the audience. The author of the play, A. Gelman, became a significant playwright of the Moscow Art Theatre during O. Efremov's time.
