Job Summary:
The Air Freight Logistics Specialist will manage and coordinate air shipments, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency of air freight operations and increasing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor air freight shipments, ensuring timely arrival of goods.
Handle documentation, including air bills, customs forms, and other shipping documents.
Secure competitive air freight rates with airlines and freight forwarders.
Resolve shipment issues and coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customers.
Maintain accurate records of shipments and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Prepare and submit shipment reports to management.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve logistical challenges and improve processes.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to air freight logistics.
Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to optimize operations.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in air freight logistics or a related field.
Strong knowledge of air freight regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in logistics software (eg, Cargowise, CargoWise+, SAP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
