Medical receptionist

Medical Receptionist Duties: • Greet and register patients upon arrival at the clinic • Answer phones and schedule patients for appointments using the ER phone system • Verify patient information and insurance coverage • Collect co-pays and process payments • Maintain patient records and update information as needed • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents • Coordinate referrals to other medical specialists • Ensure reception area is clean and orderly Requirements: • Knowledge of insurance coverage verification, pre-approval, and office coordination • Computer literacy, comfortable using Microsoft Office • Previous medical experience (ophthalmology experience a plus) • Attention to detail, good record keeping and information tracking skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Russian language proficiency (bilingual) Qualifications: • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or similar role would be an advantage • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures would be an advantage • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to operate telephone systems, including ER phone system • High attention to detail and organisational skills • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems would be desirable If you are an organised individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering quality patient care, we would be pleased to consider you for the position.
