NJ TRANSIT PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Pursuant to Section 5 of PL 1984 c. 578 of the SCDRTAP program, the New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) is holding an open public hearing to gather information and input from interested parties regarding programs developed to implement the Senior Citizen & Disabled Residents Transportation Assistance Program (SCDRTAP). In addition, each hearing will be held in person and online in the southern, central, and northern New Jersey regions. In-person hearings will be held in the Iselin, Blackwood, and Newark regions. The NJ TRANSIT Assistance Program funds necessary capital, operating, and/or administrative costs for on-site coordination of public transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The program also provides funding to improve access to services and programs on established NJ TRANSIT routes, provide technical assistance to districts, and manage program implementation statewide. Committee meetings are held at least eight times a year in Newark, Trenton, and Camden , or online. All meeting locations are fully accessible and serviced by public transportation.
