The sculptor's wife, Margarita, met the great physicist and became his love for many years. It's August 1945, and the United States has just dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Einstein, who fled to America from the Nazis and the impending war, is acutely aware of everything that is happening. Margarita informs him that in a week, after many years of living in America, she and her husband are leaving back to the Soviet Union. Einstein will try to persuade her to stay, but in vain - separation is inevitable. A new play by Soviet and Russian playwright Alexander Gelman, based on recently discovered letters from Einstein to Margarita Konenkova, takes place in Einstein's home in Princeton. The audience is invited into Einstein's Princeton's residence, an intimate setting where terrible words will be spoken and a terrible secrets will be revealed. Celebrated actors Ksenia Rappoport and Alexei Serebryakov have previously worked on several films, but this is the first time they share a theater stage together. *This play is performed in Russian.
