Celebration of life
Brooklyn Cancer Center recently celebrated women who have overcome cancer. The courage and strength of those who fight the disease leaves cancer no chance. They are the ones who can motivate people to fight for life.
More than 400 people came to say “thank you” to the doctors. It was very touching when the patients themselves received crystal trophies from the hands of doctors, showing by their example how important it is to trust the doctor, and also to believe in victory over the disease. Patients described how they overcame their fears thanks to the support of health workers who were sympathetic and eager to help.
Today, a diagnosis of breast cancer is no longer a death sentence; many continue to live, work and raise children. The celebration of victory over cancer became an unforgettable event, especially when a mother of three children appeared on stage, defeated leukemia, and after treatment gave birth to a child.
American cancer treatment protocols are among the most effective in the world. Very often, new drugs appear for patients with cancer. Government funding and donations are important for conducting in-depth research.
One of the patients said: “Every new year of life after being diagnosed with breast cancer is a holiday for me. I remember the difficult moments of life: biopsies, surgeries, x-ray and chemotherapy, pain and weakness. I could write a novel about cancer and life after this ordeal But I understood: either I defeat cancer, or it will defeat me. The doctors and health workers I met at the Brooklyn Cancer Center were apparently a gift from the Almighty. They supported me throughout the entire treatment. Of course, it was a great blessing that I had my husband. and the children sympathize and help me. I am happy with the good results of the x-ray and hope that the tumor will shrink. There are also high-level Russian-speaking specialists in the oncology center, which is very important for me."
On this day, world-class oncologist Susan Burdet received special recognition and a crystal trophy. She knows treatment methods that can reduce tumor size without surgery, and also develops treatment protocols. Her team includes assistant Ian Pronin, a sensitive and attentive person, as well as phlebotomists Sofia Kuperman and Gennady Vornovitsky, known for their skill - they get into the most difficult veins. The newspaper "R.Reklama" sent crystal trophies, which were awarded to them.
Special thanks to event organizers Executive officer Douglas Jablon and Michael Brincat. It is also worth noting Oksana Chernogor, manager of S&A United Home Care Inc. - for helping people in need of professional care. The newspaper "R.Advertising", being an information sponsor of the event, has been publishing articles about modern research in the field of fighting cancer for many years and emphasizing the importance of its early diagnosis and treatment.
This day has become a real holiday of courage and strength, reminding that victory over cancer is possible through the joint efforts of patients and medical workers, so it is important to visit a doctor regularly. A positive attitude, the ability to avoid stress, and proper nutrition are also very important. Get enough sleep more often, try to be less nervous, and engage in moderate physical activity. Don't sit at home, but meet with friends, go to theaters and exhibitions.
